Olympic Study Day 2024 part of WGI’s Olympic Lectures Series
On April 8, the Willibald Gebhardt Institute launched its “Olympic Lecture Series” in the run-up to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris with a large audience – in person on the campus of the University of Münster University, as well as online via video conference. Every week, the speakers will shed light on current and historical topics relating to “Olympics”. The lecture series is organized by Michael Krüger, Vice President Olympics of the WGI. Cooperation partners include Helga Leineweber from the Department of Education and Culture in Sport at the Institute of Sports Science at the University of Münster and Annette Hofmann from the PH Ludwigsburg.
On May 27, Roland Naul gave a lecture on Olympic Education as part of the lecture series. Roland Naul is not only the founder of the Willibald Gebhardt Institute (WGI), but also reknown expert on Olympic Education, recognized worlwide for his expertise on this subject.
As part of the Olympic Lecture Series, which takes place every Monday from 4 pm to 6 pm until July 8, the WGI will host the 2024 Olympic Study Day together with the colleagues from Ludwigsburg on June 24. The Olympic Study Day event will begin at 2 pm. The program will be held in Ludwigsburg in person – but for all interested parties, the event will be accessible via the same Zoom link of the
